The requirement was to design and build a content managed site in order to advertise their business. They'd had a poor experience with a previous designer and I was glad to help restore their confidence in web designers!
Zoë and Alex had specific ideas about the colours they wanted, based on their logo, and these were incorporated into the design. I produced a user guide that explained how to use the content management system, allowing them to update the pages in the site, including news items and a gallery of some of their flowers.
The requirement was to design and build a content managed site on which to promote this clinic, based in Droitwich. It was important that the site looked professional and was informative.
I produced a user guide that explained how to use the content management system. I'm still working with the client, helping them with the system and with ways to improve their ranking in the major search engines such as Google.
I designed a site for Sarah back in 2007. The original design has been adapted, in collaboration with Sarah. Additional features have been incorporated into the website. These include:
Jill, a management consultant, had a bad experience with another website designer, who has since gone out of business. As a consequence she had an unfinished site that she could not update.
Jill wanted her site to look different from other management consultant websites, with a particular emphasis on nature. We went through a number of possible website designs before settling on the finished design.
Nigel Bruen wanted to create an interactive photo gallery, where he could display his many photographs. He had some specific ideas about how he wanted his site to look, together with a simple method that would allow visitors to rate his images. The highest rated images would then appear on a separate page within the website.
As with the other image galleries I have built, I used the open-source image gallery ZenPhoto. This I then customised to fit Nigel's particular requirements.
Dovetails By Design is the company name for furniture designed by Amanda Morrice. I was asked to build a site to display her furniture, with the ability to update the images of her furniture herself. Hence, her website incorporates a picture gallery, designed specifically to Amanda's requirements.
Gables B&B had an existing site, which was looking rather dated and required refreshing, with a new look and with new pictures. The first step was to arrange a photographer to take some pictures of the B&B, to present it in the best light. Working closely with the B&B owner, Janette, we put together a site that used these pictures to the full. This included an image gallery where users can scroll through the various pictures.
I arranged for the domain and hosting to be transferred to our own hosting package, which is significantly cheaper than what they were previously being charged. I have enhanced the text of the site for search engine optimisation, to ensure that it appears high up the search engine listings.
